Donato in his swimming pool. He lives in an ancient villa at the foot of the volcano. His house is located in the well-known Red Zone, the most dangerous area surrounding volcano Vesuvius. In case of eruption the numerous houses built here would be the most likely to be buried by lava flows. The 700.000 people of the surrounding villas live in a condition of apparent denial of the dangerousness of their condition. Nonetheless, they actually ‘domesticated’ the volcano’s impendent presence and do not feel its treat anymore.
